The past few weeks have been devastating socially. With the recent deaths of Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain, the world is grieving. I sobbed as I read their stories wondering how their families and friends are doing under the weight of such tragedy and the pain they had to endure. I also was profoundly impacted by their choices to end their lives.
It is another reminder we still need desperately to help people realize they are NOT alone, depression IS treatable, and people still DO care.
I vow to be among those who care and to do my best to overcome the stigma of emotional health concerns on a larger scale. I hope by sharing my story, others will know there
is always hope and they are never alone.
