Our Mess, His Majesty!

Anyone with a toddler knows just how fast a room can be destroyed. From order to chaos in an instant. Or how fast a meltdown can happen. One minute, laughing, the next minute, sobs. Being with a toddler is a minute by minute experience and requires constant supervision.

I so identify with toddlers in my life. Heck, maybe that's why I love them so, so much.

Nothing makes me light up like mispronounced pronouns and silly little toddler times.

Despite all their nonsense and messes, they have hearts of pure innocence and are truly so authentic!

Well, when it comes to our messes, that is how GOD sees us. Needing constant supervision and love and being his authentic creation!

We certainly all make messes, some large, some small. Some we need a little help with, others a lot. And, whether moments of utter disaster or minor mess, GOD is calling. Always! In our times of deepest need or the slightest of cares, he is there. I know this for a fact because he has been there for me. Time and time again.

I have made more messes than I can count. Some disasters, some minor oversights. I actually have lost track of all the messes I have made or that have made me. Actually, I like that better. My messes have made me. Made me aware of the majesty and awe of GOD. Made me aware of my need for a savior. Made me aware of a life beyond myself and my toddler-like ways. For an in depth look at GODS majesty, lets have a looksee

at Psalm 8 and what David has to say about GOD after some of his own majestic messes:

"LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory in the heavens. Through the praise of children and infants, you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that your are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them. You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor. You made them rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet: all flocks and herds, and the animals of the wild, the birds in the sky, and the fish in the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas. LORD, our Lord how majestic is your name in all the earth."

As we can see from this beautifully written song by King David, our messes ultimately reveal GODS majesty. He NEVER makes messes. He never makes a mistake. HE and ONLY HE is perfect. If your reading this, remember that! GOD made you and he does not make a mess. He may allow messy times, however, he does not EVER a mess make!

If you feel like a mess right now, just remember that GOD is the author of each of our stories and he isn't finished with any of us, yet. Also, stay tuned to learn of some of my most majestic of messes. Some self-made, some other-imposed, yet, each of them, the handiwork of a loving and awesome GOD!

Ephesians 2:10 "For we are GOD'S masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago!
